Windows Server 2019 is the latest version of the server operating system by Microsoft, as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. Windows Server 2019 is designed and engineered to help modernize your datacenter, delivering on four key areas: Hybrid, Security, Application Performance and Hyper-converged Infrastructure HCI). Because Windows Server 2019 is a Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release, it also includes the Desktop Experience.

Digital Pacific’s Windows Virtual Private Servers do not come with server management and are Self-Managed.

What is a Self-Managed VPS?

Self Managed is where you manage all aspects of your server environment, including troubleshooting issues (excl. hardware) and configuring all other aspects of the VPS such as Software Firewalls, IDS, and the installation of patches and updates to control panels and the operating system.

We still assist in the initial setup (Server Provisioning) which includes:

• Installation of vanilla operating system
• All other configuration and day to day management tasks, including troubleshooting issues need to be handled by yourself. If you would like us to troubleshoot issues (not outlined above), this will be charged as custom support at $198/hr.

If you do not feel comfortable managing your server environment to this degree, please choose one of our cPanel Managed VPS solutions instead (Linux).

All support for third party software should be obtained directly from the relevant software vendor by the VPS customer.

We don’t hide anything from our customers and there are no hidden costs that may surprise you. The problem with many service providers is that there are other costs associated with the plan that may be unclear or undefined. We can guarantee that you will never have to pay any more than the cost of the Plan unless you order extras.
